DWI Alcohol and Drug Assessments and Groups

We provide Alcohol and Drug Assessments in a private office setting where clients will have private time with the assessor to discuss personal issues as needed. Clients will receive a comprehensive clinical assessment by a licensed clinician as well as an ASIMV assessment. The DWI court ordered assessment is $100.00 per person and the client would need to bring his/her citation, driving record and BAC reading. If the client does not have the appropriate documents, staff will assist/help the client with how to obtain the information needed and still complete the assessment.

DWI and Substance Use Psychoeducation

DWI Groups 20 and 40 hours to complete requirements to restore driving record with DMV.
Psychoeducation, urine screens, drug counseling and mental health/family counseling as needed. Our groups are scheduled during the days, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Assessment times are also flexible to meet difficult work and family schedules.

Domestic Violence

Domestic Violence

Bridge of Hope provides domestic violence groups to educate individuals and help put an end to domestic violence in families. Our DV program is designed to educate individuals who have been court ordered to attend a domestic violence rehabilitation program as well as for individuals seeking assistance to prevent DV occurrences. Some of the topics include:

  • Issues and effects of domestic violence in relationships and in families.
  • Skills and preventive activities to assist individuals with overcoming DV behaviors.

Domestic Violence Individual and Group Sessions

  • Court mandated DV group/individual sessions Level I meet once a week for 12 weeks -26 weeks.
  • Level II-52 weeks

 

Our rate is $80.00 per week per person and our Assessment/Intake is $150.00.  (We are a Non-BIP)

 

Anger Management Individual and Group Sessions

Bridge of Hope provides court ordered anger management assessments and group/individual sessions. Intake/Assessment rate is $100.00. Group/Individual rates are $50.00 per week per person for 12 weeks.

Anger Management Outline

Our Anger Management program is designed for adolescents and adults that suffer with symptoms of uncontrolled anger. We conduct an intake session where each client will complete an Anger Management Assessment with a clinical social worker (LCSW), clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC);(LCMHCA) and/or substance abuse professional (LCAS);(LCASA). The following areas are assessed.

  • Biological, social, and environmental settings
  • Psychiatric status
  • History of anger/violence and recent episode,
  • Alcohol and drug history
  • A connection between alcohol/drug and anger/aggression
  • Family relationships and history with or without anger
  • Legal history related to anger/aggression.
 

We provide 12 weeks of sessions for court-ordered and self-referred individuals that have anger concerns that have caused problems that resulted in poor decision-making. Our treatment sessions are based on the cognitive behavioral therapy approach.

Parent Education Class

Bridge of Hope provides court ordered parent education classes to individuals and families both married and unmarried. Our Parent Education Class is designed to provide parents and families an opportunity to learn parenting and copings skills throughout multidimensional development stages of children and adolescent aged youth.

 

We will conduct an intake Assessment to determine specific needs of the parent and family. The assessment will be provided with a clinical social worker (LCSW), clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC);(LCMHCA) and/or substance abuse professional (LCAS);(LCASA). Topics to be discussed during treatment include the following.

  • Young children and stress indicators
  • Different developmental stages and parenting concerns to support the needs of children
  • Divorce and the emotional effects on parents and children
  • Children and adolescent behavioral reactions to divorce
  • Family DV, child and spousal abuse
  • Coping skills and conflict management
  • Financial responsibilities of parents
  • Co-parenting and the development of family stabilization
  • Biological, social, and environmental settings
  • Psychiatric status
  • History of anger/violence and recent episode,
  • Alcohol and drug history
  • A connection between alcohol/drug and anger/aggression
  • Family relationships and history with or without anger
  • Legal history related to anger/aggression.
 

Defensive Driving Program

If you have been charged with a traffic violation, you may prevent points on your license and prevent an increase in your insurance points by attending a defensive driving school.

  1. Complete Registration. Call the office you are interested in attending and make an appointment.
  2. Payment. Payments can be made in person at the office of the designated class being attended.  Professional Diversion Institute accepts debit, credit, and cash.  No personal checks please. There will be a 5% processing fee when paying in the office.
  3. Class Fees. Driving improvement fees are determined by citation location and attorney status.  Please pay fees which applies. (See hours and classes)
    4 hours class Fees:            With attorney class total fee is $80.00 ($100.00 minus $20.00 attorney referral discount).Citation without attorney and outside of the designated County individual fee is $130.00Citation received in the designated County without an attorney is $100.00+ court cost.     8 Hour Class Fees:With attorney class total fee is $140.00 ($160.00 minus $20.00 attorney referral discount).Citation without attorney and outside of designated County individual fee is $160.00Citation received in designated county without an attorney is $160.00+ court cost.

    Private sessions are available for an additional cost of $50.00.  Call to arrange date and time. 

  4. Materials will be provided when arriving to class.
  5. Upon completing the class, the agency will release a completion certification to attorney.  Cases outside of designated County without an attorney will return to court with proof of attendance on the court date given.  Gaston County residents without an attorney, must provide the original citation and court cost to be submitted with proof of attendance to the clerk of courts by Professional Diversion Institute.  (Participate will be excused from their court date).
  6. R.I.V.E.   Professional Diversion Institute,  offers the D.R.I.V.E. program which is a comparable program with ALIVE@25.  When registering online or by phone please indicate needing to complete the Alive @25 program.
